What you’ll do
- Drive future thinking best in class Distribution Centre (DC) facility designs, leading executive engagement throughout the full project lifecycle to deliver transformational customer, team and safety outcomes.
- Lead end-to-end solutions design process to develop and deliver distribution and fulfilment centre designs to meet our customer, safety and operational objectives.
- Undertake data analysis, modelling, research, and design and simulations for the development and optimisation of existing & future Distribution Centres (DCs), Customer Fulfilment Centres (CFCs), and Micro Fulfilment Centres (MFCs)
- Lead the evaluation of alternative facility concept layouts including automation solutions with the support of project teams and external consultants
- Partner with finance business partners to develop DC capital and operating cost models and requirements to underpin project business cases
- Partner & collaborate with a large internal stakeholder Group (ie Safety, Transport, Network Planning, Operations, Project Management, Property, Maintenance and Stores) to deliver fit-for-purpose design solutions.
- Focus on safety in design during concept development.
What you’ll bring
- Facility/supply chain design experience including materials handling and automation.
- Strong analytical modelling skills (Labour, Operating Cost, DILO, Slotting, Material Flow)
- Executive relationship management, communication and influencing skills
- Building integration design experience (fit-out, MHE, automation, etc)
- Safety in Design (SID) experience
- A self-learning style adaptive to work in an ever changing and faced paced environment.
- A driven personality with the desire to contribute to a world class team in an open and collaborative environment
